Key to Option (Opt.) Column

Update to latest specification.

These ECU`s have been the subject of modifications and should be updated to the latest specification regardless of whether the original part has failed. In these circumstances ATP will automatically supply the latest available specification.

Immobiliser Function.

These ECU`s operate as part of the vehicle's immobiliser or alarm system. In many instances they contain a code which will prevent the vehicle from starting unless activated by the vehicle's security or central locking system. In many instances it will be necesary to 'program' a replacement ECU and there may be some restrictions on testing coded ECU`s. If in doubt, refer to the vehicle manufacture`s workshop manual. All replacement ATP parts with immobiliser functions are supplied with an information sheet which should be read carefully before installing the replacement ECU.

Option Coded ECU`s.

These ECUs contain an option code which set various operating parameters which dedicates the ECU to the particular version of vehicle. It is neccesary to specify the Option Code when ordering replacement ECU`s. If the Option Code is not available for any reason then the original unit from the vehicle must be sent to ATP in order that we may transfer the option code to the replacement ECU.

Delco Multec ECUs with 'MEMCAL'.

These ECUs have two main components - the Main ECU and a plug-in module (or Modules) which dedicates the ECU to a particular version of the vehicle. When ordering these ECU`s it is necesary to specify whether you require just the ECU or the ECU with MEMCAL. It is important to note that if the failed ECU has suffered an electrical burn-out then the MEMCAL is likely to have been damaged.

Non-Interchangeable.

These components are Not-Interchangeable even if the same year and vehicle application is listed. It is essential in these cases to check the part number of the unit on the vehicle before placing an order.

Repair Only Parts.

These ECU`s are not offered on ATP's normal exchange programme but are repaired on an individual basis subject to condition. For these parts it is necesary to send the part to ATP for examination and we will contact you with price, timescale and whether a repair is possible.

OE New Replacement Part (limited stock)

These ecu`s are supplied brand new, but ATP only holds a small quantity of each part number.
